Project M

Project M is a program that places creative thinkers inspired to make a positive impact into a community in need of positive change and challenges them to create something that benefits the community. Project M South 2011 was two weeks long and took place in Greensboro, Alabama. The ongoing BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico was severely affecting the coastal environments and towns of Alabama as well as those of other Gulf states. Our group chose to bring attention to this natural disaster by creating a website detailing the devastation, a short video, and letterpress posters. The proceeds from the sale of the posters was donated to relief funds.

I designed and printed the letterpress posters, including making a to-scale hand cut linoleum print of the Alabama state flag that was printed on top of the type.
